1. Who we are
MacBoardFix, a workshop for component-level repair of Apple devices, Stadenstraat 35, 8610 Zarren, Belgium.
2. Quote and approval
After receipt we carry out a diagnosis and send a quote at a fixed price. We only begin the repair after your written approval. If you decline the quote, you pay the 49 euro diagnosis plus 19 euro return postage.
3. Prices
All amounts are in euros and include VAT. The price in the quote is binding, unless damage becomes apparent during the work that was not visible beforehand. In that case we submit a new quote first.
4. No fix, no bill
If the repair does not succeed, the price for the labour falls away. You then pay only 19 euro return postage. For data recovery the price falls away if no files could be recovered.
5. Warranty
Twelve months on soldering and on fitted parts, from the invoice date. The warranty covers the spot repaired and the part supplied. New faults elsewhere on the board are not covered, nor is damage caused by dropping, moisture or work by third parties after our repair.
6. Surcharges
For machines third parties have already soldered on, a surcharge of 35 euros applies for the extra investigation.
7. Shipping and risk
Parcels go through bpost and are insured as standard up to 1,000 euros per parcel, in both directions. A higher value must be reported and confirmed in advance. Damage caused by inadequate packing on the way to us is for the sender's account.
8. Data and files
We always recommend making a backup first. In component-level repair the storage stays on the machine and files are as a rule preserved, but we cannot guarantee this for machines with liquid damage or where the storage itself is damaged. We open no files and make no copies beyond what data recovery requires.
9. Machines not collected
If you do not respond for three months to our messages about a finished or declined machine, we may process the machine to cover storage costs. We send a registered reminder first.
10. Legal rights
These terms do not affect the mandatory rights Belgian consumer law gives you. Belgian law applies in the event of a dispute.
